Score8 · Technology
Technology connects every part of Score8. This hub explains the technical choices behind the Score8 experience and how they affect readers.
Principles
These principles apply across the Score8 brand hub and will guide future Score8 products.
Layouts are designed for small screens first and expanded for tablets and desktops, so the phone experience is never an afterthought.
Pages are plain HTML and CSS with a single small script for the menu. There are no external font downloads or heavy frameworks to slow them down.
Semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, visible focus states, sufficient colour contrast and reduced motion for people who prefer it.
All important content is in the HTML itself, with clear headings and structured data, so browsers, search engines and assistive technology can read it without running scripts.
Live football data will only be shown from a verified source, with clear status labels. Placeholder panels are marked until then.
This site currently sets no cookies and loads no third-party trackers. Any future change will be reflected in the privacy policy first.
